Limerick Printmakers are committed to promoting printmaking as an art form and supporting printmakers by providing a professional open access printmaking studio, exhibition opportunities and education program
Founded in 1999, Limerick Printmakers primary focus is to provide dedicated facilities for printmakers, photographers, artists and those working on their own projects; that can avail of various different levels of studio membership from Open Access to an annual membership package that includes 24 hour access to its facilities.
Limerick Printmakers are now based in a permanent studio in Johns Square in the heart of Limerick city where it offers an array of high quality printmaking and photographic facilities.
LP has designated printmaking studios for silkscreen, letterpress, lithography, etching, aquatint & monoprinting alongside a digital printer & a darkroom.
The studio currently has over 50 members, made up of those working as artists, printmakers, photographers, lecturers, tutors & teachers, graphic designers, those who provide editioning services, recent graduates and those who are retired.
Limerick Printmakers are committed to supporting artists at all stages of their careers.
Limerick Printmakers reinforce their aim to ‘promote printmaking as an art form’ by encouraging the general public to learn about, experience and interact with various forms of printmaking via:

- Regular Exhibition Programme
- In studio workshops with Primary & Post Primary Schools
& Third level Institutions
- Bursary Awards for graduates
- Community Engagement via Mobile Printmaking Events

Limerick Printmakers acknowledges the ongoing support of both The Arts Council of Ireland and Limerick Council through various grants.
